Spring is here, which means that summer is right around the corner! Our STEM/STEAM Open House is happening Saturday, May 13 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Oak Street Center located at 101 Oak Street in Uniondale, directly across the street from the Hofstra campus.
Get ready for a day of fun and excitement as you learn about our STEM/STEAM programs! Students grades 2-12 can enjoy hands-on demonstrations while parents meet our STEM/STEAM instructors and learn more about our vast array of programs available to them. Enjoy a free campus bus tour, and enter for a chance to win free tuition to a STEM/STEAM class.
Hofstra Summer Camps and Saturday Classes for Young People are proud to support the STEM/STEAM movement, and we’ve created many fun and innovative new programs. With dozens of STEM/STEAM courses in:
- Video Game Design
- Computer Animation
- Mobile App Development
- Aerodynamics and Design
- Marine Exploration Technology
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is evolving into STEAM (STEM + Art and Design) because today’s K-12 students need to be prepared for the workforce of the future, and arts education teaches young people many of the integral skills needed to thrive in the 21st century workplace. There’s something for every interest and age group, and your child will have a fun and rewarding experience this summer while making friendships and memories that last a lifetime!
So bring the whole family to our Open House on Saturday, May 13 to experience a preview of the excitement and fun we offer in our STEM/STEAM programs!
